SERVICES:
Individual Counseling Sessions
I currently provide individual and couple's counseling sessions to adults. All my sessions start with an intake assessment in which I will ask you several questions to gather information that will help me get to know you better and understand the reason you are currently seeking services.
We will work on designing a treatment plan that works for you to focus our sessions in achieving your goals. We will update your treatment goals as needed. I will monitor your progress continuously and revise your original symptoms after several sessions.
I utilize approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method level ONE training for couples, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Exposure/Response prevention for OCD, solution-focused, Integrative psychotherapy, sandtray therapy and client-centered therapy.
All my approaches will be tailored to your needs. My job is to allow you to gain insight and learn tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle.

Couples Counseling Sessions
I enjoy helping couples identify their goals, gain insight about their needs and learn and implement the tools they need to move towards the best direction for both of them. I utilize techniques from the Gottman method level one training, which facilitates building a strong foundation, increase positive interactions, increase appreciation, learn to manage conflict, create shared meaning, re-build trust, and increase commitment, among other things, to improve overall relationship satisfaction.
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing ( EMDR)
I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist. EMDR therapy is a psychotherapy approach that utilizes a set of standardized protocols for the treatment of trauma. EMDR utilizes bilateral stimulation of the brain, such as eye movements or tapping, and is utilized in the reprocessing of traumatic experiences that are currently triggering unwanted emotional or physical symptoms.
Sandtray therapy
A nonverbal, therapeutic intervention that makes use of a sandtray and a variety of figurines utilized to create scenes of miniature worlds on the sand and allows you to express and gain insight about the things that are difficult to say with words. It is meant to be used with adults, children, and even families!
